“I helped hide it for 23 years”: a dental insider breaks his silence

He earned $185,000 a year inside a system he says he came to hate — and stayed quiet about one mineral the whole time. Then his own daughter started getting cavities. This is what he decided to say out loud.

For twenty-three years, he says, he was a puppet inside a system he hated. From the outside, the life looked flawless — the career, the family, the salary that landed at $185,000 like clockwork every single year. And every single day, he says, he woke up feeling empty. Like his life was a lie. Like the purpose he'd carried since childhood had quietly gone missing.

“I was seven years old when I knew what I wanted to do,” he tells us. “I wanted to help people. For twenty-three years I told myself that's what I was doing.”

He no longer believes he was. Not really. “You can't help people from inside a system that's broken,” he says. “A system that puts profit over people and charges them thousands.”
